Our Story
We're Greg and Sheila Bair, and we've both been followers of Jesus Christ since 1984. One of the areas that has intrigued us for many of those years is the idea surrounding the impact of a global flood. We often wondered: if it happened as the Bible tells us, in the timeframe the Bible clearly explains, then we should expect to see evidence all over the world. But do we?
Scargazers was an idea that came from Greg's many years of regularly flying all over the US for business. I was that guy on those early morning flights with my window shade up, while most people had their shades down and were trying to sleep. I was mesmerized as I studied the amazing landscape below and tried to track the plane's flight path.
It's clear the west was shaped by large volumes of water, but on one trip back east, I realized it was also shaped by massive water flows—it was just more difficult to see since it's covered with trees. As I pondered what I was seeing out that little airplane window, it occurred to me that I was seeing exactly what I should expect to see from a global flood that occurred just a few thousand years ago. It became clear that the biblical flood described in Genesis had left a scar, and therefore we're all Scargazers.
What a blessing from God that He showed me something that can only be seen from a plane, redeeming all those hours sitting in a metal tube 35,000 feet above the earth! Since that day many years ago, we've had a new excitement from recognizing there's an answer to what we wondered about, and it was right there under our feet. We even planned many of our vacations to visit some of the areas I had flown over.
We now like to say:
Every scar has a story. The earth is scarred.
What's the story?
We formed Scargazers a few years ago as a ministry to answer that question and to share that story, and we're finally making something happen with it starting in 2025! Our mission is to visit and share many pieces of evidence of a massive flood event that can only be explained by something like the flood story of Noah's time in the Bible.
The best way to join us is to visit our website at scargazers.com and sign up for our newsletter, where we'll share what we're seeing. We currently send newsletters to our subscribers twice a month, so please visit our website and sign up so you can follow along. Even if your inbox gets overwhelming, you can always catch up anytime since all the newsletters are archived on the website as blogs.
The website can also link you to our other communication platforms:
YouTube — Our channel is called "A Scargazers Journey"
Facebook — Our group is called "Scargazers Biblical Flood Evidence Community"
For us, this is certainly a fantastic opportunity to visit some amazingly beautiful scars from the global flood, but what makes it even better is that anyone can follow along and gain even more confidence in the truth of the events recorded in Genesis.
